Position Description

The FT Housekeeping Room Attendant at The Fort will have the primary responsibility of maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of guest rooms on a daily basis, adhering to the high standards set by Country Inn & Suites. The specific duties of the role are detailed below:

  1. Cleaning and Sanitizing: Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas, ensuring a fresh and welcoming environment for guests.
  2. Linen and Towel Management: Change bed linens, towels, and other guest room amenities as required, maintaining a neat and well-stocked appearance.
  3. Restocking Supplies: Replenish guest room amenities such as toiletries, coffee, tea, and other essentials to ensure guests have a comfortable stay.
  4. Dusting and Vacuuming: Perform regular dusting of furniture, fixtures, and surfaces, as well as vacuuming carpets and floors to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
  5. Waste Disposal: Properly dispose of trash and recyclables from guest rooms, promoting cleanliness and eco-friendliness.
  6. Report Maintenance Issues: Report any maintenance or repair requirements for guest rooms promptly to the appropriate department, ensuring a swift resolution.
  7. Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to detail to ensure all guest rooms are cleaned to the highest standards, leaving no area overlooked.
  8. Adherence to Guidelines: Comply with all hotel policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations, while performing housekeeping duties.
  9. Guest Interaction: Respond to guest requests and inquiries courteously and promptly, ensuring a positive guest experience.
  10. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the housekeeping team and other hotel departments to maintain a seamless guest experience.

The Fort Housekeeping Room Attendant plays a very important role in providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for our guests, contributing significantly to the overall guest satisfaction and impression of the Country Inn & Suites brand like Radisson Hotel Group.

Duties of the FT Housekeeping Room Attendant

  • Prepares bed and bath linens
  • Cleans and straightens room
  • Displays and replaces amenities and promotional materials
  • Removes and disposes of trash, soiled linen, etc.
  • Maintains supplies necessary to clean rooms efficient
  • Utilizes proper cleaning methods to prevent injury
  • Keeps supply cart stocked
  • Reports deficiencies in guest rooms and on guest floors to the Housekeeping/Engineering Management team
  • Ensures the cleanliness of guest room hallways, elevators, public areas and service corridors in accordance with hotel standards
  • Inventories and maintains the cleanliness of the linen closets
  • Projects an image of professionalism, friendliness and willingness to provide personalized service to our guests
  • Adheres to the hotel’s lost and found policies and procedures

Position Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate will have experience working in a hotel environment that provides a superior level of guest service and professionalism
  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with department managers, team members and guests
  • Demonstrates a strong team spirit
  • Scheduling flexibility in being able to work during the week and on weekends/holidays during the daytime hours

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Performing repetitive hand and arm movements
  • Ability to lift, pull, push up to 70 pounds on an ongoing basis
  • Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
